Mark R. Waterfill

Mark R. Waterfill is a partner with Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff LLP. He is a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment and Litigation Practice Groups. He is widely recognized in the field of employment law and also focuses on litigating commercial disputes.  Mark has handled first-chair responsibility in several complex litigation matters ranging from class-action overtime and age discrimination cases to securities fraud, breach of contract and federal racketeering matters.  Mark has litigated and successfully argued before the Indiana Court of Appeals on covenant not to compete and employment law issues.  He also frequently represents water and sewer utilities before the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission.

Mark’s practice areas of focus include employment law, commercial litigation and utility law. He devotes 75% of his practice to litigation.
 
Mark has been admitted to practice in Indiana and the U.S. Federal Courts since 1986. He received his J.D from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana in 1986 and his B.S. magna cum laude from Hanover College in 1983.
 
Mark has been recognized as an Indiana Super Lawyer. He is President of the Labor & Employment Section of the Indiana Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Bar Association and formerly served on the Board of Directors for both Bethany Christian Services Adoption Agency and the Veterans Service Foundation, Inc.
